OLD MILL UNCOVERED IN RIVER KELVIN DIG

Archaeologists working on a dig at a site on the River Kelvin just north of Kelvin Rooms have unearthed the foundations of an old mill – Sam Golder (see YouTube clip below) from AOC Archaeology Group in action says it could be part of the Foundry Mill, the ruins of which can be seen in the Kelvin Walk Way near Kelvinbridge. The dig was carried out as part of Scottish Water’s £15 million investment project in Glasgow’s West End to improve the  environment of the River Kelvin.
